Long Island Entertainers And Their Legacies

The Long Island Library Resources Council's l5th annual Archives Month Conference is set for Thursday, Oct. 7, at Oheka Castle.

The theme of the anniversary conference will be "Long Island Entertainers and Their Legacies." It will focus on those Long Islanders who have not only been entertainers, but whose philanthropic activities have helped those in need from vaudeville times through the present.   • Michael Cogswell, director of the Louis Armstrong House Museum
  • Geri Solomon, assistant dean of special collections at Hofstra University's Joan & Donald E. Axinn Library
  • A representative of the Long Island Music Hall of Fame

    The Long Island Library Resources Council (LILRC) is  one of New York's nine Reference and Research Library Resources Systems. The regional library organization serves academic, special, public, school libraries and library systems in Nassau and Suffolk counties and encourages resource sharing and promotes library interests.
