1. Huntington Teacher Writes New Book: Lynn Hefele, a physical education teacher at Huntington High School has written an illustrated book, "Ziny's Driving School." The illustrated book focuses on spatial awareness and safe movement in the gymnasium. Details

2. Stephen Baldwin In Town: Actor Stephen Baldwin will be at the Walt Whitman Mall Wednesday to host a breast cancer awareness event. There will be a free cocktail reception in Saks Fifth Avenue with wine tastings, hors d'oeuvres, desserts, raffles and gifts with purchases to raise awareness of breast cancer and to benfit the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund in honor of his mother. The event starts at 7 p.m. 

3. Book Revue: Author and photographer, Scott Pasfield, will speak about and sign his new book "Gay in America" at 7 p.m. at the Book Revue.

4. Lost Ring: A woman lost her 94-year-old grandmother's engagement ring at the Oyster Bay Festival this past weekend. The gold ring is oval-shaped with three little diamonds. The woman has had the ring for 70 years. She said she might have lost it near the food court at the festival. Anyone with information can e-mail dcampbell@news12.com.

5. Get Your Questions Ready: A Meet The Candidates Night will be held at the South Huntington Public Library at 7 p.m. Thursday. Audience members may submit written question to the local and county candidates at the NAACP-sponsored event.
