Oct. 13: Heckscher Exhibit; Adult Yoga

1. Breast Cancer Awareness: The Town of Huntington Division of Women's Services presents a free seminar on breast cancer awareness by Judy Koles, R.N., at the Huntington Seniors Center Thursday at 1:30 p.m. 

2. Embracing Our Differences Art Exhibit: The Suffolk Center on the Holocaust, Diversity and Human Understanding hosts an outdoor juried art exhibition at Heckscher Park until Oct. 18. Includes 39 large images submitted by professional artists, art students and school children.  

3. Softball Players Needed: The Long Island Bandits are looking to fill 3-4 roster spots on the girls 10U team this fall with the intent to develop the team with fall/winter training to be ready for the spring/summer 2012 tournament season. Team is based in the Commack/Kings Park area.
