Huntington Notebook: Playground Dedicated Saturday

Town dedicates area of park in honor of two victims of domestic violence.

Representatives from the Town of Huntington along with others from the local community officially dedicated the playground at John Walsh Park in East Northport in the names of Ann and Connele Pabo on Saturday.

Joining the Friends of Ann and Connele’s Playground, Conrad Decker of Decker’s Nursery of Greenlawn, Town Board members Glenda Jackson and Susan Berland were on hand to pay tribute to Pabo, and her son, Connele.

The untimely death of Ann and Connele on July 21 of last year prompted friends and neighbors to form the “Friends of Ann & Connele” group which has lobbied to have the playground at John Walsh Park in East Northport renamed in their honor as Ann & Connele’s Playground.
