Sons of Italy, bands and veterans among marchers in Huntington parade.

The rain cut into the crowds but various organizations from around Long Island joined the Columbus Day parade Sunday in Huntington.

Former state parks commissioner Bernadette Castro and Capt. James Byler serving as grand marshals, the parade formed at Town Hall and headed west on Main Street. Representatives of Italian-American organizations were also marking the 107th anniversary of the Order Sons of Italy in America.
