4. Family Chanukah Celebration: Kabbalat Shabbat service at Temple Beth El begins at Friday at 6:15 p.m., with Chanukah Dinner and Celebration at 7:15 p.m. Guests are asked to bring menorahs and candles plus a main dish, side or dessert. Temple will supply the latkes and entertainment, puppet show and scavenger hunt.
5. Paramount Comedy Series: The returns Friday with an entirely new line-up. Features Michael Somerville from VH1 and Comedy Central; Maria Walsh – “America’s Naughtiest Mommy”; and Paul Bond of MTV and Comedy Central. Plus: Joey Giarratano from the NYC comedy scene and Carie Karavas from Atlantic City and Las Vegas. Hosted by Paul Anthony of the Long Island Comedy Festival.
