Kenneth A. Deegan Dies

Attorney served on Board of Education, Town Board.


Funeral services are scheduled Thursday for Kenneth  A. Deegan, a prominent Huntington attorney who died July 2. He was 75 years old.

He served as a member of the Town Board and as a trustee and then president of the Huntington Board of Education.

He was a retired US Navy commander and an Eagle Scout. He was a member of the American Legion, Elks, Kiwanis and Masons.

He leaves his children, Stacey (Ted) Holland, William (Sylvia) Deegan and Matthew (Maria) Deegan and five grandchildren. He was the brother of Barbara Rauss and Colette Vaughn.

Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the M.A. Connell Funeral Home.  

A funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 10 a.m. at Old First Presbyterian Church, followed by interment at Huntington Rural Cemetery.
