Dr. Howard Schneider earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (DDS) from New York University Dental School in 1987 and completed his pediatric dentistry specialty training from Eastman Dental Center in 1989. He established his pediatric dental practice in Huntington Village in 1990 and has been on staff at Huntington Hospital since 1997.

Dr. Schneider and his family live in the Town of Huntington and he is an active member of the Huntington area community. Dr. Schneider regularly presents his dental health puppet show “Take a Brush Break” to local preschoolers and primary school children at nursery schools, public schools and libraries. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of Temple Beth El of Huntington, and is currently the Men’s Club/Brotherhood President. From 2005-2913 he was PTA treasurer for his sons’ school. Dr. Schneider is an active member of Dentists for a Better Huntington, a group which provides charitable services to the community, and the Family Service League’s Save-A-Smile Dental Program that provides charitable dental services to children in need.

Dr. Schneider has lectured on fluoride to numerous professional groups throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, and the Suffolk County Dental Society. He actively serves the Suffolk County Dental Society, where he has been on the Board of Delegates/Directors since 1993, is the Society’s Children’s Dental Health Month Chairperson, and is a member of the “Give Kids A Smile” Committee. He and his staff are continually honing their skills in pediatric dentistry by attending professional continuing education classes.
