Each year, the Town Board and the Division of Women's Services holds a networking program designed for women to meet and exchange information and ideas. Women of all ages, and with a wide array of business and personal interests, will gather together to share their empowering energy. On Wednesday, Oct. 27, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., nearly 400 women are expected to attend the 9th Annual Women's Networking Day at Larkfield Manor in East Northport. The theme of this year's event is "Empowering Today's Woman – The Tools for Success," where the focus will be on strategies to enable women to become successful in their personal and business endeavors. Networking expert demonstrated the strategy of giving to others first, then seeking help.
It wasn't your typical book reading when Lucy Rosen, known as the "Queen of Networking," came to Book Revue last week for a discussion and signing of her new book, "Fast Track Networking: Turning Conversations into Contacts."
