Ninth Annual Women's Networking Day and Volunteers Needed at Community Thrift Shop

Welcome to "About Town," a column that will keep you up to the minute with what's what, who's who and what the town's talking about. Check in often, because we will be updating often. And if you see something ... say something.

Each year, the Town Board and the Division of Women's Services holds a networking program designed for women to meet and exchange information and ideas. Women of all ages, and with a wide array of business and personal interests, will gather together to share their empowering energy. On Wednesday, Oct. 27, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., nearly 400 women are expected to attend the 9th Annual Women's Networking Day at Larkfield Manor in East Northport. The theme of this year's event is "Empowering Today's Woman – The Tools for Success," where the focus will be on strategies to enable women to become successful in their personal and business endeavors. Open to the public, and only $8 ($6 for seniors), attendees will enjoy lunch and entertainment…
