Hitting the Pavement for St. Patrick's Run
Huntington Townwide Fund runs bring out competitors and those seeking fun.
A fun run and a competitive four-mile race brought about 400 participants out for the Townwide Fund's St. Patrick run Saturday in Huntington. Dustin Emrani, 26, of Great Neck won overall with a time of 21 minutes, 31 seconds, followed by Brendan Keegan, of Huntington Station at 21 minutes, 34 seconds. Runners in the competitive race ranged in age from 7 (Ethan Radecki, who finished 194th) to 78 (Geza Feld of Farmingdale who finished 160th). A team of girls from Commack won the high school challenge segment of the four-mile race. A family fun run preceded the competitive race. The run is a benefit for the Townwide Fund, which works with more than 20 Huntington charitable organizations to assist those in need. Race director Bea Hartigan …
