The Town Board adopted the new "Comprehensive Plan Update" in December 2008. This plan, officially named…More the "Huntington Horizons 2020 Comprehensive Plan" was assembled by the Department of Planning and Environment and consultants and even citizen input. </p> <p>It was decided that this update was needed to modernize and bring into the new century guidelines related to land usage and the town's environmental resources.  It took about four years to develop the plan.</p>
