The Long Island Association for AIDS Care, established in 1986, provides support and services to Long IslandMore residents with HIV, AIDS and other infectious diseases. In addition, it has the area's only HIV/AIDS hotline. It receives strong support from the New York State Department of Health. Donations are welcome and appreciated; the Long Island Association for AIDS Care has 501(c)(3) not-for-profit status.

Adults and Children With Learning and Developmental Disabilities, a leading non-profit agency, gives challengedMore children, teens and adults the chance to improve their quality of life. The home for individuals in the ACLD program in the Huntington community is located at 24 Healy Street. Services to individual residents and their families include educational, family support and school-to-work transitional services, vocational evaluation and training, and recreational activites. Volunteer support and donations are appreciated.
