Lorraine you are such a special soul, you taught me and so many others countless lessons. You helped…Read More so many people, near and far, and never expected anything in return. In my own experience you showed me that people really can all work together for the same cause and really make a difference. You taught my son, who was very shy at the time, to speak in public. He learned that his thoughts mattered. From all of your acts of kindness, he also learned that people you may never meet need help, recognition, and support. He has learned countless things from you, that I never could of taught him. I believe that you gave him self-confidence and the inspiration to be himself. He is in college interested in becoming exactly what you thought he could be. Hopefully he will make difference one day, and you made that possible. You will be missed so very much on this earth but we have what you taught us. I know the heavens welcomed you with open arms and now we can only try to make you proud. We love and miss you.
To the Boccio family, you have our deepest sympathy.
My deepest sympothys go out to the Boccio family.

Mr. Revell was my flute instructor at Holy Trinity High School from 1993-1997. He was the kindest…Read More man and most patient teacher I've ever known. He kept a printed quote by Charles Swindoll on his door. I memorized that quote because in high school, attitude is a very important thing. Being a high-schooler is hard, and I think that Mr. Revell really understood that. The quote is as follows:
“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.” ~Charles Swindoll
Rest in peace, Mr. Revell. Thank you for everything you taught me about music and about life. Your memory will live on.

@IJCB: there is always a mad dash to get back to the bay after this annual event. I have a 30'…Read More cruiser, and my experience is that the confluence of boat wakes, currents and darkness / low visibility can lead to some pretty hairy boat trim challenges on the passage back to home ports. This is especially true with heavy passenger loads; folks that may be moving around and shifting the load, too many people on the fly bridge, raising the center of gravity would make a boat even more unstable. Folks are always in a hurry to get home. The larger cruisers are relatively immune to the swells, but it's a particular challenge for the smaller craft near or over their safe passenger capacity. A prudent captain is aware of all these factors, and will take steps to mitigate the dangers. I feel sorry for all of the victims who suffered through this terrifing event.

I cannot thank you all for your kind words and thoughts about my husband Michael Mangino. He was…Read More truly a good and loving and caring person. He always tried to do the right thing. When he died he was there with his mother trying to do the right thing by all. We will all miss him dearly. We all have learned so much from him and hope we can carry on as he would want us to. It is going to be very difficult going out on that golf course without him, but I am sure going to try and I know in my heart that he will be there with me helping me move on. As for football I will be a forever Friar Fan. He loved being with the kids on and off the football field, teaching them as much as he could, that was his life and loved every minute of it. As far as football goes he would have been there forever. Go Friars'! Michael I love you and will love you forever, you were my life and I have lost that life forever. May you be shooting below par on the grandest golf course in your world, and no whiffing the ball.
Love you always, Em

Mike grew up in a football family . His dad was a coach in the Lynvet orgainization of Pop Warner…Read More Football. At that time there was a senior division. It is with that team that I first met Mike. He was a 5ft 9in, 170lb fullback. yes, full back. He took on people who were 25 lbs heavier every play every day It was not a concern to him. It was his job .
That alone speaks volumes of the size of his heart and determination. For the three years that I played with Mike we won two championships and only lost one game.
We were basically belly series team who ran the ball 80% of the time and each time Mike lead the play.I am a better person for knowing and playing withMike . He is a mans man. Love you Mike. Sal Randazzese
