The best diner in the area! The food is good. The owners and staff are friendly and efficient. I just wish they were open later. 11pm is too early to close.

This is by far the best diner in the Huntington area! The food is always good and you never have to wait long...The owners are always accomodating and the waitresses are friendly and welcoming. Golden Dolphin diner won't disappoint :)
Went there once and haven't been back since. I can get beyond the dated decor, but the place was just dirty and the food was mediocre...nothing good enough to "help" me overlook the filth. I'm baffled as to how they stay in business. Heck, they don't even stay open late! What LI diner closes by 11pm?!?
The Dolphin is a place where old friends meet to have breakfast, lunch and where families come for dinner. Peter, one of the owners, is a charming and welcoming host who makes everyone feel like an honored guest. I love going to the Golden Dolphin to begin my day with my "Over the Hill Gang" friends. The waitresses add to the charm of the place.
I have had a good dining experience each time I have visited this place.
We love the Golden Dolphin. My wife and children and I have been going there for years. Teddy and Peter are great hosts and the food is terrific!
I agree with M.Manzo's comment..lost my appetite..but as they say to each his own..If you just don't " mind " where you eat..then I suppose this is the place for you...there are plenty of places to eat throughout our village..this is One I truly avoid..Not A Fan
.Dirty. I dont know how the board of heath lets them get away with all the food not covered on the counter, I watch waitresses with there hair hanging over it, customers walking by coughing and sneezing, just gross. as I sat down and kicked the chicken bones under my table I excuse myself and headed passed the uncovered food on the counter to the bathroom. Once I entered there I know the rest of the night would a night of pulling hair out of my food, or my feet sticking to the dirty floor. The place was packed which leads me to believe people would rather go someplace where they get alot of food then how clean a place is. I live in Huntington village 20 years and have eaten at just about ever restaurant, a late night need for coffee and eggs brought me here. for now on I will do the drive though at burger king,

Peter the owner is great. Very friendly. Always comes over and asks how the family is. The food is pretty good. Very good selection. Could be a little larger, cleaner and more modern decor but otherwise great for breakfast and lunch.
