Snow Arrives, Cuts After-School Activities

Tuesday's snow brought slippery roads and early closings of schools to Huntington.

The Huntington and South Huntington school districts announced Tuesday morning that all afternoon activities are canceled. Concerts  at Woodhull and Stimson were postponed.

St. Anthony's dismissed seniors who drove to school and their siblings at 10 a.m., with other students expected to depart about 11:30 a.m.

Snowplows were out as the snow came down around Huntington but many roads remained extremely slippery. Police and school districts were urging caution.
