Volunteers Fair Scheduled

Northport library to bring organizations, contributors together.

More than a dozen local organizations will participate in a fair for residents who are looking for volunteer opportunities.

The Northport-East Northport Public Library will host the fair Sept. 28 from 4 to 7 p.m.

Participating organizations will include:

  • Avalon Park and Preserve
  • Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum
  • Family Service League
  • Friends of the Farm
  • Heckscher Museum
  • HorseAbility
  • Island Harvest
  • League for Animal Protection
  • Long Island Volunteer Center
  • Make-A-Wish Foundation of Suffolk County
  • Northport Arts Coalition
  • Northport Historical Society
  • Peace & Plenty Food Outreach and the Reading Circle
  • Project Sage
  • RSVP of Suffolk County
  • SeniorNet
  • St. Johnland Nursing Center
  • Suffolk Y Jewish Community Center
  • Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice of Suffolk
  • Volunteers for Wildlife
  • Youth Directions & Alternatives (YDA)

 Representatives from local organizations that are seeking volunteers will be available to discuss opportunities.

No registration is required.

Maybe 4 for $100 or 2 for $60. They were looked at by a store owner who wanted to purchase and sell in her store for $50 each. They are very cute, very trendy :)

I would love to become part of the Huntington Chamber of Commerce. However, for a new business itRead More is costly and may not fit into every new business owners budget. May I suggest a provisional 1-year membership at a reduced cost. Once successful the provisional members can give back by supporting other new members.
