More than a dozen local organizations will participate in a fair for residents who are looking for volunteer opportunities.
The Northport-East Northport Public Library will host the fair Sept. 28 from 4 to 7 p.m.
Participating organizations will include:

- Long Island Volunteer Center

- Peace & Plenty Food Outreach and the Reading Circle
- Project Sage
- RSVP of Suffolk County
- SeniorNet
- St. Johnland Nursing Center
- Suffolk Y Jewish Community Center
- Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice of Suffolk
- Volunteers for Wildlife
- Youth Directions & Alternatives (YDA)
Representatives from local organizations that are seeking volunteers will be available to discuss opportunities.
