Mothers Against Drunk Driving/Long Island will offer a program at Walt Whitman Shops in Huntington on Oct. 27.
The program is designed to educate and bring awareness about underage drinking and drinking and driving. High school representatives from around Long Island will be invited, along with elected officials and other guests. Interactive tools to educate how impairment affects judgment and many other activities will be available.
Teen alcohol use kills about 6,000 people each year — more than all other illegal drugs combined.
The program runs from noon to 4 p.m.
