NY vs. LA: The Battle Of The Vegan Princesses

Although vegetarians and vegans often share the same values, beliefs, and food choices, I’ve often wondered how different my lifestyle would be if I lived in another part of the U.S. or even in a different country. What if I lived in a place without a Whole Foods, Trader Joe's or other similar type market? How much harder would my life be? What if I lived in a city with more choices of restaurants with vegan options? How much easier would my life be? What about the people around me---how much does that influence my experience?

At Vegan American Princess, www.veganamericanprincess.com, we have two unique perspectives of how to live a more vegan lifestyle because we hail from opposite coasts. I can give the East Coast/New York viewpoint and Ellen, my website partner, resides all the way on the West Coast in California.  We might have parallel reasons for embarking on this vegan journey but our environment and the people in our lives really affects us in different ways. How hard or easy is this lifestyle on the right coast and how is it different on the left?

We're looking at veggies from both sides now---which city is more vegan friendly and why? Can it be that cut and dry?

Read on as we battle it out from both coasts.....
