LIRR Says It's Back on Schedule

Railroad blames broken rail west of Huntington Station.

The Long Island Rail Road said trains are operating on or close to schedule after delays caused by a broken rail west of Huntington Station.

The  LIRR was reporting 10 to 15 minutes delays in both directions on the Port Jefferson Branch.

The delays were first reported just before 6 a.m. Some trains caught in the original delays are still behind schedule.
