Huntington Fourth of July Fireworks Guide 2013

Time: 9:15 p.m.
Location: Long Island sound side of Asharoken Avenue (barge)
Details: Asharoken has contracted the famous Grucci Fireworks for their annual July 4 fireworks display launched from a barge in Long Island Sound. Northport's Crab Meadow Beach is the best viewing spot although parking is limited and fills up quickly. The fireworks will be launched from a barge on the sound side of Asharoken Avenue and will begin at 9:15 p.m. The rain date is July 5.

Host: Town of Brookhaven and JVC Broadcasting
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Location: Brookhaven Amphitheater
Details: The Town of Brookhaven and JVC Broadcasting will co-hosts the "Star Spangled Bash" on July 4 at the Brookhaven Amphitheater featuring the Billy-Joel tribute band Big Shot and Fireworks by Grucci. Admission is free. The gates of the amphitheater open at 6 p.m. with the Big Shot concert starting at 7:30 p.m. The fireworks are scheduled to start at 9:30 p.m. with their music simulcast on 103.9 WRCN. Seating and lawn seating is limited. No outside food or drink can be brought into the venue, but a concession stand is available as well as a wine tasting area. Host: Port Jefferson
Location: Main Street, Port Jefferson
Time: 10 p.m.
Details: The Port Jefferson Annual Fourth of July Parade starts at 10 a.m. Main Street to Barnum Avenue, reviewing stand on West Broadway, Port Jefferson, NY. There will be marching bands, fire departments, civic groups and floats.

Host: Glen Cove
Location: Garvies Point, Glen Cove
Time: 9:30 p.m.
Details: Part of the Sea Faire at Glen Cove weekend festival, the fireworks will be presented by Grucci.
