Congressman Peter King Announces his Endorsement of my bid for Congress

Earlier today, Congressman Peter King announced his endorsement of my bid for U.S. Congress.

Tuesday, Congressman Peter King announced his endorsement of my  bid for U.S. Congress.

Rep. Peter King, the ten term Congressman from Long Island, has been a supporter of me since the launching of my campaign.

“We need people in Congress like Stephen Labate who understand what this battle is all about and who will fight against big government spending and tax increases, while upholding the traditional American values and principles which have made our nation great.  Stephen has dedicated his life to serving our country and his sterling record of putting our country first is a quality sorely needed in Washington,” said King.

“I am confident that Stephen Labate will be a warrior for the people of the 3rd Congressional District, and I am proud to endorse him for the United States House of Representatives in New York’s 3rd Congressional District."

I am so pleased to have the support of Congressman King. He is the model of what good leadership looks like on Long Island, and I am privileged to have his endorsement. I hope that soon we’ll be working together in the halls of Congress to bring real solutions to the people of our districts on Long Island, and across the country.

Peter King is part of the Obstructionist republican party in the house of representatives . for that reason alone I would not vote for any republican . If it were not for the obstructionists , there is a good chance that hundreds of thousands of people that are unemployed right now would be working.. This was the efforts of the republican party who thought it was more important to play party politics then to try and get people back to work. What a disgrace. Even Ronald Reagan's son said on tv that his father could not be a republican today because of the extremist agenda that they have and their unwillingness to compromise for the benefit of the people .
TOO OLD October 11, 2012 at 06:22 pm
Maybe you can tell us where those people would be working right now.

The remaining "technical glitch" is the rampant censorship of on-point comments.

Change is good. No change is necessary. I especially vote for change on this election. And if that produces no effect, I will vote for change again. A rolling stone gathers no incumbents with moss.

On large scale infrastructure projects and the supporting manufacturing and service industries.
TOO OLD October 11, 2012 at 08:54 pm
As a taxpayer you should know that there were no large infrastructure projects that would employ hundreds of thousands of unemployed workers. The fact is that most public projects are dominated by Union contractors which would limit the amount of workers hired. So most of the unemployed people would never have the chance to be hired in the first place. And with regard to manufacturing and service jobs The President and his agenda have done enough to this economy to make sure that those industries don't make a comeback.Without credit those markets can not operate, grow or be compettive. Growing the Goverment with more programs and employees will not repair the economy. The Republicans are not obstructionists they are simply taking the keys away from a drunk driver.

You are sooo wrong. Yes the infrastructure bill would of created hundreds of thousands of jobs. There is nothing wrong with jobs being dominated by union contractors. Do you have a problem with a working man getting a FAIR DAYS PAY for a FAIR DAYS WORK ?? You may be unaware of this but the more you pay workers the more that they are likely to put back more into the economy by way of spending. This helps grow the economy. If you use scab contractors who pay their workers half of what they deserve, who wins? the only person is the contractor who keeps the profits in his pocket and does not spend it. Is that the way to grow the economy? no If the republicans are not obstructionists then why did they block most if not all the bills to help workers ?
Nassau Taxpayer October 12, 2012 at 12:33 am
Exactly. As a wingnut Grover Norquist devotee, you probably believe what you just wrote.

Joe
You seem very angry, don't let the facts upset you so. Since you like to make assumptions I will give you some more facts. Your response was not on point, my comments were on the type of jobs that those projects would produce. But in typical liberal fashion you make the issue about the workers who are or are not getting a fair wage, and that I have a problem with that. And again I point out that you don't know what you are talking about. I have been in trades for over 30 years and have employed hundreds of union workers from several different unions. And why do you call non union workers scabs? Because they won't join a union.Don't they have a right to work under your constitution and don't you realize that unions only make up 25% of our total workforce in this country. So in your mind the other 75% of workers in this country are "scabs" and don't deserve to work in your Liberal Democratic country. This is exactly why this President needs to be fired. Everyone in this country has the right to work where they want. So let's recap you are angry, you can't stay on point, you figures are wrong and your belief that this President is doing a good job and any worker or employer that you don't approve of is a bad person. Is that about right, I feel sorry for you
JOE October 12, 2012 at 03:04 am
I have been in the trade as long as you and you are wrong . Anyone who can not see the republicans as obstructionist in the house are either in denial or clueless. Maybe you have not seen the congressional approval for the last 2 years . It is at 7% . Look at the facts and the amount of bills that the republicans have blocked . Maybe you have not seen the video of Mitch Mc Connel stating that the republican party's main objective should be to deny Obama a second term . That was and is the republicans agenda instead of trying to help the american people. Scabs was not the right word to use. That was only in response to your demonizing the unionized workforce by saying most of the people would not have the chance to get hired. That is wrong when only 11% of the workforce is unionized. You say about what the president has done to stop people from making a comeback. Are you kidding? the republicans and the wallstreet people are mostly responsible for the wallstreet crash. Republicans want to get rid of regulations . How do you think we got into this mess ? from deregulation. That is a Republican mantra. I am not angry I just look at the facts. Look at the last 30 years, as unionization has declined the exploitation of workers has greatly increased as a result of the republican agenda for deregulation and de unionization in an effort to let corporate america make billions regardless of the effects on workers, communities, and the environment

You are entitled to your own opinons but not your own facts. Try taking responsibility for your actions. Most of the problems that you liberals blame on everyone else was caused by Clintons "National Home Ownership Strategy" which forced the banks to lend to unqualified borrowers to buy homes and Wall Street to package those loans into investment vehicles. There is a lot of guilt to go around. So get off your I am a victim rant, stop blaming Republicans and call the president the liar that he is.
I am not sure which debate you were watching, but all I saw was a crazy old man who acted like he was mentaly ill making faces one minuet, laughing the next and angry the next. That was as unprofessional a preformance as I have ever see. Ryan was clearly in charge of his facts and acted Presidental where Biden acted like he was on mushrooms. For the record the last 30 years the Unions caused the the factories to close and move their businesses out of the country. Because their rules, wages and benefits out paced their ability to be competitive. Take some responsibility and stop blaming everyone else, starting with your President.
Nassau Taxpayer October 12, 2012 at 12:25 pm
Martha Raddatz asked him several times, gave him several opportunities, but Ryan presented no facts, no plans and no details. Ryan never completed his homework, never showed his work, an "F" for #FAIL.
THE GOP HAS NO PLAN -- other than LIE, LIE, LIE.
JOE October 12, 2012 at 02:50 pm
I am not sure which one you are . Either clue less or in denial. Ryan in charge , that is a joke . Ryan lies so much that he contradicts each lie he tells I am not a victim. Ryan gave no specifics at all. You can try telling all the experts that are both republican and democrat who state that the MATH is not there for Romney aka Gordon Gekko. This country is where it is because of Corporate America and the way they have been screwing this country out of tax money for decades. The tax rate that corporations have in this country is different from the EFFECTIVE tax rate they PAY. This means if a company makes a million dollars they do not pay the tax rate on one million dollars . They take off all their bullshit deductions and then pay taxes on 3 or 4 hundred thousand dollars . So the pay 30% on 300,000 which is 90k. Take away the bullshit deductions and they really made 600 k. so the 90k they paid on 600k works out to 15% not 30% . This all about FACTS. Look it up and google effective tax rates around the world and you will see that the Unites States has the 2nd LOWEST EFFECTIVE in the WORLD. Iceland is the only one lower than ours . that is a FACT. Does Obama have 100 million in his IRA? no . Romney got all that money through the exploitation of business laws, loopholes, and the employees who worked for him before they were layed off so he could make millions Gordon Gekko style

You are bitter and jealous of anyone who takes risks to make their living and follows the law and pays the taxes that they owe. I told you before, pay more if you if you want and stop your whining and crying. You don't sound like you were well liked by your employer and felt that you deserved more. Did you ever risk your own money,or did you try to extort it from the people you worked for by slowing down your work, going home early, coming back late from lunch and believing that you worked for the union rather than your boss who signed your check. You sound like hundreds of guys that I met in my life that believe that they are owed something. That is why your are so jealous and make all these childish assertions. Just remember Hope and Change and how well it worked for all of us thanks to people like you.

You are right, they are very nervous and they should be. And you can see by the level of intelligence of their supporters like Nassau Taxpayer. That their base is full of cry babies whose troubles are everyones fault but their own. He is one of those loud mouths that managed to grow up without getting put in his place. Keep the faith in 21 days Romney will win and then the grown ups can take over and fix all the crap the President broke.

"The Chosen One" said that "this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal"
Of course none of that happened Perhaps a more fitting name for him would be King Canute

The real question to ask regarding this Blog is why no one has asked why what appears to merely be a press release is posted as a Blog, during the heart of a political campaign. Then it is interesting that the comments have nothing to do with the Blog either. I agree we don't want censorship, but there must be some balance and some attempt at staying on subject.

Usually cats stay within a few houses of home Sometimes they just hunker down under a neighbor'sRead More shed or deck. He is more likely to come to you at night when there aren't as many lawn mower sounds. Walk around with a can of the stinkiest cat food that you can find. Call to him, and listen for a response. He may answer you with soft meows. Make a trail of stinky cat food to your door and leave the can at the door overnight. Hang up signs with a photo in the neighborhood. Go door to door and tell neighbors to call you if they see him. Kids playing, and dog walkers might spot him. Once you have an idea, of where he is, you can use a have a heart trap to catch him, if he won't come to you. Some cats get so scared when they get out, that they don't recognize their humans. We have had cats disappear for months, before trapping them.
