Whitman Dodgeball Tourney a Slam Dunk
More than 100 athletes participated to raise money for Booster Club.
The Walt Whitman High School gymnasium hosted the Wildcat Booster Club's third dodgeball tournament Saturday, a spectacle comparable to a warzone of flying padded gym balls.
The tournament, which consisted of teams of 6-7 competing round-robin style, was held to raise funds for the Booster Club, which awards athletic scholarships, and assists teams with non-budgeted equipment, among other club functions.
Booster Club President Donna Grennan explained the force behind the frenzy.

"It's perfect, it's wild, it's wild, it's crazy, and most importantly the kids have a blast," said Grennan. "Every time we run it there's more and more kids each time."
