Turning Point: In its first game Saturday against OLMA, St. Anthony's took control early en route to a 11-1 win. The Friars led 4-1 after one inning and 9-1 after two. The game ended early via mercy-rule.

Quotable: St. Anthony's players have devoted their season to the memory of Donna Cleary, the mother of their teammate Christine Cleary. Donna Cleary passed away last July from cancer.  The Friars had stickers on their helmets and marker tattoos on their arms to pay tribute to Cleary.  "We've dedicated this entire season to her memory," Coley Parkas said. Bottom Line: Top-seeded Kellenberg awaited in the second game. Kellenberg, coming off a 12-1 win over St. John the Baptist, no-hit St. Anthony's into the seventh. Kellenberg struck for two runs in the fifth on a triple by Sam Trotta. That was the difference. It was the third time the Firebirds beat St. Anthony's this season.

Key Stat: Michelle Carbone, who did not pitch in Game 2, broke up a no-hitter with a seventh-inning hit against Kellenberg's Susan Pardo.
