St. Anthony's Football Beats Fordham Prep, 51-0

Friars roll in the Bronx without star running back Dariyan Riley.

opened the first of four straight weeks on the road with an impressive 51-0 win over CHSFL football rival Fordham Prep Saturday night in the Bronx.

The New York Post reports that junior Anthony Anderson rushed for 136 yards, highlighted by a 28-yard touchdown, in place of star running back Dariyan Riley, who was injured at practice Friday. Brian Sherlock added two TDs.

Riley suffered a bone bruise in his left foot during last week's opening . Athletic Director Don Buckley told Patch Riley was expected to play until the latest setback Friday.

The Friars (2-0 CHSFL), up 17-0 at the half, handled Fordham (2-1) with a 27-point third quarter. Up next is Holy Cross (Queens) on Oct. 1 at 3 p.m.
