St. Anthony's 2011 Football Schedule

Two-time defending CHSFL champion Friars are still the team to beat in 2011.

The quest for a threepeat begins with a new quarterback and captain on defense.

And yet the football team is still the favorite to win another CHSFL Class AAA title. QB Charlie Raffa and LB Tyler McLees graduated, but that won't keep the Friars from making a run at their 13th straight title game appearance.

Continuity comes from an experienced coaching staff led by Rich Reichert, who earned his 201st career win with a 41-23 victory over Iona Prep in the title game.

St. Anthony's opens the 2011 season riding a 19-game winning streak. The Friars have won 10 or more games in 10 of the last 11 seasons. They've gone 112-10 and won nine CHSFL titles during that span.

The 2011 schedule is full of challenges. Unlike a year ago, at least the Friars have four home dates. All but one game is played at night and homecoming will feature rival Chaminade.
