Photos: Rain Doesn't Stop St. Anthony's Girls Lacrosse

Friars score a 16-6 win over OLMA in Nassau-Suffolk CHSAA semifinals, return to the title game.

The girls lacrosse team wasted little time in taking a commanding lead in its Nassau-Suffolk CHSAA semifinal Saturday against Our Lady of Mercy Academy. Playing in a steady downpour, the Friars struck in the first minute and built a 10-2 edge en route to a 16-6 win.

Anne Heagerty, Kerrin Maurer and Alexis Nicolia each scored three goals for the Friars, propelling them into the title game once again. The  (16-2 overall) advance to the title game and will face No. 2 Sacred Heart Academy Tuesday 5 p.m. at C.W. Post.
