NY Jets Fans Feel the Letdown

Fans arrived at Rookies, hoping for a win but it was not to be.

Jets fans gathered at Rookies Sports Club in Huntington Village to watch the Jets play the Steelers Sunday night. But they were disappointed yet again.

Fans watched both teams battle it out in a freezing cold Pittsburgh.  The players' heavy breathing could be seen crystal clear as they struggled to keep warm.  The Jets fell behind too far in the first half to make a significant enough comeback.  They showed signs of promise in the second half, but ultimately couldn't overcome the Steelers.

While many fans were emotionally down and reluctant to comment on their teams tough loss, some couldn't help but express their feelings.

"It's just very unfortunate.  From the beginning I got an uneasy feeling.  You can't look this bad in the playoffs."

"I'm kind of speechless right now.  They just didn't show up tonight.  The only thing giving me comfort right now is that there is always next year."

"I became a Jet fan 2 years ago.  I liked Rex Ryan and that's what really got me into them.  It's not easy being a Jet fan, but we're a devoted fan-base and we support them regardless."

-Cynthia F.

"I always enjoy when a New York team is in the playoffs.  Everyone is in a better mood.  It was a really tough loss tonight, everyone was amped up and expecting a much better performance.  Hopefully next year will be their year to really shine all the way through."

-C.J., Bartender at Rookies

"I got really fired up after that field goal kick going into half time.  I felt like that was a sign they would start to take control.  It's a real shame, I hope they come back strong next year."

-Patricia L.

"I'm very upset that we lost.  They're the type of team that can turn things around, and it got my hopes up.  I feel emotionally exhausted right now."

-Michelle B.
