Islanders Viewing Party Packs Paramount

About 1,700 New York Islanders fans filled the Paramount on Thursday at what the team pumped as a Playoff Party.

Isles greats and Hockey Hall of Famers Clark Gillies and Mike Bossy, as well as former tough guy Steve Webb were there. So were members of the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, the Isles' top minor league affiliate. Yes, the Ice Girls and Sparky the Dragon were also on hand.

There were 1,000 tickets available to the general public, with the rest of the crowd made up of season ticket holders.

The Islanders have qualified for the Stanley Cup playoffs for the first time since 2007. The team's playoff schedule and first-round opponent won't be set until after the regular season concludes this weekend.
