Huntington's Algieri Beats Peralta

Local welterweight claims unanimous win in bout at Paramount

Chris Algieri claimed a unanimous victory over Jersey City's Jose Peralta Alejo in a bout at the Paramount Saturday night.

Newsday (paid link) said the the S. Anthony's graduate  "took several hard shots early but dominated the later rounds."

Algieri is now 16-0.
