Dodgeball Fundraiser a Hit at Whitman High School

The Wildcat Booster Club raises money for scholarships and other activities.

About 100 students took part in the Wildcat Booster Club's dodgeball tournament Saturday at Whitman High School.

The students, mostly seventh and eight graders who attend Stimson Middle School, formed 17 teams for the fundraiser. Each paid $5, money which will be spent on booster club activities throughout the year.

The booster club awards scholarships to graduating seniors, provides letters, trophies and awards for athletes, and sponsors opening and closing ceremonies for the sports seasons. It also purchases special equipment not paid for by the school and provides financial support for sports teams. The club also pays for the Section XI dinners for athletes and coaches.
