Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone and Legis. William "Doc" Spencer came through Huntington in support of Small Business Saturday.
Accompanied by Bob Bontempi, co-chair of the Huntington Chamber of Commerce and Brian Yudewitz, chamber vice chair, the two Democrats stopped first at Ideal Cheese on Main Street and checked out the new store's offerings. After conversations that ranged from small business to food with owner Julius Binetti. the group moved on to Mac's Steakhouse, and talked with Mark Gelish, who manages the restaurant. Bontempi and others praised Gelish's commitment to several civic organizations.
