Whiz Kid: Amelia Profaci

Young singer is carving out a career.

Each week, Huntington Patch features a young Huntington resident whose talents or special achievements stand out. This week's Whiz Kid:

Whiz Kid: Amelia Profaci
 Age: 15
School/Group: and Music Ministry at the Dix Hills Evangelical Church.
 Accomplishments: Chosen to sing with David Foster at the Seminole Hard Rock Live Theatre in Ft. Lauderdale, as well as winning audience choice award for "Got Talent Long Island."
Key to Awesomeness: Amelia Profaci attended and performed at the Maltz Jupiter Theatere in Florida before relocating to New York City three years ago.   Although only 15 years old, Amelia has been very busy portraying her singing and songwriting talent in numerous ways including performing  the National Anthem at Stony Brook University, competing in the "Got Talent Lond Island"  Competition where she won the Audience Choice Award, top honors at the "Walt Whitman High School Idol" compeitition as well as making it to the top 25 vocalist in the WWOR Radio Compeition using an orginal song co-written by her. Amelia competed and won the "Starz of the Future" Competition at the South Florida Fair, "Palm Beach Idol" at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre where she joined their tour comapny and performed at many venues.

Amy is a very talented young lady!! I got to meet her the summer my 14 year old daughter passed away. She was such a blessing in my life. Amy sang for our music foundation we started in my daughters name. This young lady is not only talented but a compassionate and loving person.

Amy is a very talented and big hearted young lady! There is no doubt in my mind that she can achieve every goal she sets for herself! We love you Amy!
