Zach Cammer will head to service academy after graduation.

Whitman senior Zach Cammer has been  appointed to the U.S. Naval Academy  in Annapolis, Md., after graduationin June.

“It’s been a goal of Zach’s since the seventh grade,” said proud dad, Steven Cammer. “He‘s excelled in scouting and he’s a natural leader, and I know he’s going to excel in our armed forces. I’m so proud of him.”

Whether it's cross-country in the fall or winter and spring track, Zach has been a regular fixture in Whitman’s highly successful track program. “His dream of entering the Naval Academy is now his reality,” said Whitman track coach Rob Conroy. “Zach is an incredibly intelligent young man and a hard-working student. As long as I’ve known him he’s expressed an interest in the Naval Academy.” Zach will continue with track at the collegiate level after a highly successful high school run where he has helped lead his cross-country team to two county championships. He is Whitman’s best mile runner, posting a 4:18 average.

Zach will major in either English or computer sciences. He plans on a career as a United States Marine Corps officer.

“Academically, athletically, and soon to be an Eagle Scout, Zach is the complete package,” said Principal Kathleen Acker. “He’s a good citizen and always has a smile on his face. He’s been such an asset to the Whitman family."

They do have the metal inside and they are all the same size. If you are seriously interested I willRead More gladly send you some more pictures. As far as the price, the best I can do is a bundle. Maybe 4 for $100 or 2 for $60. They were looked at by a store owner who wanted to purchase and sell in her store for $50 each. They are very cute, very trendy :)

Do they have the metal inside that held the glass bottles? Are they different sizes? It's hard toRead More tell from the pic. I would definitely buy 2 or 3 but, I wouldn't be able to pay 40.00 each. 20-25 each I can do. Thanks, Karen

I would love to become part of the Huntington Chamber of Commerce. However, for a new business itRead More is costly and may not fit into every new business owners budget. May I suggest a provisional 1-year membership at a reduced cost. Once successful the provisional members can give back by supporting other new members.
