Whitman faces Kings Park High School Monday in a second round match on a TV quiz show.
One of 192 teams which began the contest, is represented by Joseph Babinski, Kimberly Shen (captain), Nicholas Scover, James Campbell and Alyssa Vallar (alternate). The academic advisor is Jay Corcoran. The Wildcats defeated Coppiague Dec. 19 to advance.
Regional winning teams receive $2,500 for their school. The Tri-State Champion will receive $10,000 in prize money and each student participating in the final “Challenge” Championship game will receive $500.
The MSG Varsity program aires Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. on Cablevision's Channel 14.
