A Whitman acedemic team was eliminated in a second round match of MSG Varsity's "The Challenge" TV quiz show.
Kings Park outscored Whitman 440 to 240 in the contest which was televised March 12.
One of 192 teams which began the competition from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, was represented by Joseph Babinski, Kimberly Shen (captain), Nicholas Scover, James Campbell and Alyssa Vallar (alternate). The academic advisor is Jay Corcoran.

Whitman defeated Coppiague Dec. 19 to advance.
Regional winning teams receive $2,500 for their school. The Tri-State Champion will receive $10,000 in prize money and each student participating in the final “Challenge” Championship game will receive $500.
