School Security: What Do We Need?

Policies allow administrators to search students under certain circumstances.

Schools have clarified or strengthened school security and codes of conduct, driven by violence and other crimes in recent years.

Parents and administrators want children to be safe.

But are there limits? Should students be searched or is that a violation of privacy? Or does the need for security and control of conduct override personal privacy concerns?
