2 Whitman Seniors Named Suffolk Zone Award Winners

Whitman seniors Kyle O'Rourke and Samantha Dell have been named Suffolk Zone award winners by the school for excellence on the playing field and in the classroom.
Suffolk Zone awards are given each year to seniors who maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during their junior year while contributing to an overall positive in the classroom and on the playing field, according to the school.
O'Rourke, a Wildcat wrestler, said he was surprised but happy when he heard the news.

“This award is important to me, as it affirms all that I truly love here at Whitman,” said O'Rouke, according a press release from the .
Dell, a soccer and lacrosse player, said she has enjoyed her time at and that her love for athletics is equal to her love of academics, according to a press release from the school.

“AP calculus and AP environment are my favorites classes,” said Dell.
