Schools Closed Wednesday; Halloween Parade Canceled

No power in schools means no classes.

Huntington and South Huntington schools will be closed Wednesday because neither district has power, district officials said.

The Halloween Parade, scheduled for Wednesday downtown, has also been cancelled due to the impact of Hurricane Sandy, officials said.

Does the Patch accept articles from district spokespeople? Perhaps that is the answer to this…Read More problem! Short but informative articles can be submitted each week and then Huntington could get the coverage it so desires. Each town's Patch would cover whichever high schools are in it's area. Problem solved!
