S. Huntington Parents to Get Common Core Information

Parent academies scheduled to start in January.

The South Huntington school district will present information on Common Core standards at a series of parent academies.

The program is scheduled for January and February. The district said the sessions are designed to provide resources to families in helping their children.

Sessions will begin with an overview of the changes brought about by Common Core implementation. Parents will then divide into other sessions, for grade-level specific discussions of general lesson material and resources.
