Riverhead Too Much For Wildcats

Blue Waves defeat Whitman 48-39.

After keeping it close for much of the game, Whitman lost 48-39 to Riverhead in girls basketball last week.

A 16-point performance from team captain Kelly Bilodeau wasn't enough to overcome a strong Riverhead team that moved to 6-1 on the year with the victory at Dec. 29.

Contributing for Whitman (1-4) was Essence Casey with 7 points, Katira Jemmott with 6 points and Hayley Mena with 6 points, according to a South Huntington School District press release.
