The Huntington Board of Education approved the following decisions at its regular meeting Monday night:
• Appointed Kelli-Ann Connors as a long-term substitute special education teacher at Woodhull Intermediate School. The appointment is effective through approximately June 12.
• Appointed Peggy Gallagher as a long-term substitute librarian at Woodhull Intermediate School through approximately April 1. She has been in the position since Oct. 23.

• Authorized Huntington High School student Wilmarie Aviles to serve as a science lab assistant during the 2012/13 school year at a salary of $7.25 per hour.
• Authorized Kerri Gebbia, Ashley Williams, Carol Soskil, Doreen Ellis, Desirae Stropoli, Laraine Schirripa and Kailene Abt to work as substitute teachers in the ELA & Math Saturday Institute. They will be paid $48.97 per hour when their services are needed.

• Approved Margaret Florio, Clara Krapf and Maryanne Omara to work as clerical substitutes during the 2012/13 school year.
• Approved Charles Paar as a volunteer boys' assistant varsity lacrosse coach.
• Approved a budget transfer in the amount of $234.75 to cover the cost of postage for the district's transportation office.
• Approved a consultant services contract with Bilinguals, Inc. for speech screenings for bilingual kindergarten students. The company will be paid $250 per day per screener.
• Approved health and welfare services agreements with the Northport-East Northport, Smithtown and Garden City school districts.
• Authorized the district's participation in a joint municipal cooperative bidding program led by Eastern Suffolk BOCES.
