Facing rising costs and state cuts in aid, the Huntington School Board limited funding to the band and cut kindergarten classes to half days despite pleas from parents.

Ironman quoted from legendary University of Alabama football coach Paul "Bear" Bryant to give advice to the school board, seated for the first time Tuesday at Jack Abrams Intermediate School in Huntington Station.
