The threat of short term to long term power outage is very real as evidenced by everyday thunderstorms as well as last years hurricane Irene.  Attention to detail and forward thinking are crucial to success full contingency planning and creative problem solving.  What solutions can you employ to keep your lights burning and cell phones working simply and cost effectively? At this workshop we will explore affordable back up solar and associated 12v power systems practical for minimal to long term use.  There are many price points and products available to address your short and long term power concerns.  The program will touch on the component parts required for 12v hardware operation as well as a discussion of the variety of products available.  Our Speaker, Ron Haugen, has a broad knowledge on a wide variety of alternative energy solutions and will be able to answer such questions in the course of the workshop. $10 redeemable as store credit.
