History of the Long Island Railroad

David Morrison is a retired LIRR Line Manager who has written several books on railroad history, including his recent book Jamaica Station. He is a founding membern of the Railroad Museum of Long Island and the Oyster Bay Railroad Museum. During his railroad career, he worked closely with local officials in matters pertaining to the train stations within the Town of Huntington. His presentation takes a look at the 177 year history of the Long Island Rail Road, the oldest railroad in the country still operating under its original name. Registration required.
