Health Care Forum

Kay Blough, Neighbor

The League of Women Voters and Cinema Arts Centre are sponsoring a free health care forum discussion from 7-9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26, at the Cinema Arts Center.

The keynote speaker at the "Health Care: Where Are We Now?" forum will be Mary Dewar, with the Long Island Coaltion for National Health Care. She is a retired nurse educator from Adelphi University.

The volunteer coalition is a broad group of 50 regional organizations and several hundred individuals. Its primary goal is to achieve a universal, comprehensive, accessible, and affordable health care system as the most cost-effective solution for health care needs. It engages in education and advocacy to reach this goal.
