A presentation will be given on using solar energy to reduce utility costs, why it has become the fastest growing energy source in the world, and how it offers a limitless supply of clean safe, renewable energy for heat and power. Jonathan Lane, who founded Quad State Solar in 2000, will be giving the seminar. He has 10 years of experience designing, selling, and installing grid-connected and stand-alone PV systems. Mr. Lane is one of very few professionals in the field who hold both a NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) certification as well as an ISP (Institute for Sustainable Power) Training accreditation. Mr. Lane is the lead instructor at SUNY Farmingdale’s Solar Energy Center, as well as several other CUNY divisions, and has been involved in design, sales, and installation of residential and commercial PV systems.
