Dec. 10: Choral Society to Sing 'Messiah'

1. Residents are invited to join the Huntington Choral Society to sing Handel's Messiah Monday at 8 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church. Scores will be available at the door.  Scores available at the door. A donation of $10 is suggested.

2. Fire and water board elections are scheduled in several districts around Huntington. Watch for our report later Monday.

3. The Long Island Food Not Bombs chapter continues its free food distribution on Fairground Avenue and East 6th Street, Tuesday at 7 p.m.

4. The South Huntington school board meets Wednesday at 7:30 at Countrywood Primary School. A musical performance is on the agenda.

5. Suffolk County police have scheduled a community meeting for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Second Precinct stationhouse.
