Common Core Standards on Board Agenda

Card to outline Huntington district standards.

The Huntington Board of Education will hear a presentation about the Common Core Standards Monday night.

Dr. Kenneth A. Card Jr., an assistant superintendent, will make the presentation of the standards, which have already been put into place from kindergarten through 12th grade. They will be fully implemented at the high school level next year.

The standards are a result of national efforts to ensure that everyone has a common core of knowledge.

The school board will meet at 7:30 at Jack Abrams School.
