What Is rock CAN roll And Why Should You Care?

What Is rock CAN roll And Why Should I Care?

rock CAN roll® is a nonprofit hunger organization based on Long Island.  We collaborate with rock concerts and events, asking people to bring one healthy and nutritious nonperishable food donation to each show.

rCr volunteers pack up the food and deliver it to emergency food agencies local to each event, and into the hands of children, women, men who need it! With help from some of today’s top musical artists like Train, Maroon5, Gregg Allman, and Crosby, Stills & Nash, we do what we CAN to restock empty shelves and fill in the blanks with much needed food and basic necessities.

The organization is built of four basic pillars Healthy, Nutritious, Dignity and Respect. It is how we treat the food we deliver, and the people we work with and the people we serve.

We are fortunate to meet the kindest people each day, from all walks of life, with a couple of things in common; a love of rock  n’ roll, and a sincere desire to help others.

Hunger and poverty are tough issues that many people prefer to ignore. rock CAN roll is changing that! We truly believe if music if the food of love, let it be the food of  life…

There is always something good to read!

Sadly, there is much work to be done. The bottom line is that more people are turning to emergency food agencies for help, and there is less food to give out.
