VIDEO: Huntington Shows Unity in Community

Second annual Unity Day parade and fair in Huntington draws a crowd.

The Town of Huntington celebrated its second annual Awareness Day with a parade and fair Saturday in Huntington Station.

Dubbed "Unity in the Community," the town-sponsored celebration included a parade of more than 400 marchers from the Huntington and Whitman high school bands, military units, antique cars, motorcycles, dancers and other community groups.

The all-day fair in the parking lot between New York Avenue and Church streets included live music and entertainment from three stages, rides, food and 50 booths from companies and not-for-profit organizations.
